Kretschmer sees no crisis if ports remain closed

Hansjoerg Kretschmer, the outgoing head of the European Commission delegation to Turkey, said he did not believe a major crisis would take place even if Turkey fails to open up its ports and airports to traffic from EU-member Greek Cyprus by the end of this year but stressed that Ankara must implement the customs union protocol in the long run.
